YAYO KAWAMURA is an artist and illustrator who captures people with warmth, wit, and charm. She loves observing human nature and translating it into playful, joyful characters — especially for the very young. With over a hundred published works translated into more than twenty languages, her art is known for its lightness, humor, and heartfelt simplicity.
Yayo Kawamura, born in Heilbronn and raised in Tokyo, now lives in Berlin. She studied communication design and works as a freelance illustrator and graphic designer. Yayo Kawamura has already designed numerous picture books and series for very young readers.
